block clearance therapy

Block Clearance Therapy (BCT) is a transformative way of working with the subconscious mind to understand, release and repattern trapped emotion, negative thought patterns and belief systems that are holding us back. It's a safe and non-intrusive method of accessing the root of patterns and traumas held within our past, without having to relive the pain or relinquish conscious (or subconscious) control.

Whether there's something specific you'd like to work through or you're just feeling stuck within a void and don't know how to move forward, BCT empowers us to take back control of our lives, gain a deeper understanding of the Self and make changes within positivity and growth.

The subconscious mind's primary objective is to keep us safe and therefore within the 'known' of habits and patterns that have been established in our past. However, these primary patterns are not always positive or conducive to us moving forward, especially when our conscious mind wants the opportunity to gain a different perspective, explore something new or embrace the 'unknown'.

That's why through BCT, it's important we work with subconscious, not only to recognise and show understanding of how and why these patterns were created but also, to release and clear them, facilitating learning on a deep inner soul level.

how does a BCT session work?

  1. Consultation

A session will begin, like most therapy, chatting about your life, how you're doing and any challenges or issues that you may want to work on. These can be super specific or we can see where the conversation takes us, allowing subconscious to present us with the issues that need exploring.

2. Visualisation journey

Through a guided visualisation process, we will safely access the subconscious mind to understand an issue or block, based on a question that we have agreed to explore. You will remain fully aware and present at all times. This process is deeply insightful, calming and grounding, whilst providing a safe and secure way to access and release emotions held within.

3. Affirmations

After the clearing, you'll be provided with a set of affirmations which are an important tool in repatterning the subconscious mind. These embed the learning has taken place, and help to facilitate the change you wish to see to move forward within growth and positivity. It's recommended to do these affirmations for 60 days or until our next session.

 FAQs on Block Clearance Therapy

  • With BCT, you are consciously aware and remain in control at all times throughout the visualisation, whch means you can open your eyes, move your body and even stop the process at any point. This differs to hypnosis, where the therapist takes control of the subconscious mind to override it; whereas through BCT, we work together with subconscious to understand and release an emotion or issue.

  • The beauty of BCT is that when we work with subconscious, we are guided to acknowledge and understand emotions without having to directly step into and 'relive' them - we are always one step removed from the experience. Our subconscious mind will do everything it can to keep us safe and will only show us what we're ready to see. In our sessions, we will always go at a pace which is comfortable for you.

  • We can all 'see' but in different ways, it may be that you get images in your mind, hear certain words & phrases or are guided by more of a 'feeling'. If you start questioning what you're seeing or feeling, that's totally normal, we are guided by the first thing your subconscious shows us and it's important to remember that you can't get it wrong. My role as a therapist is to help translate what your subconscious is showing and telling us throughout the journey, so don't worry if it doesn't quite make sense to you at the time!

  • Most definitely! We will only do a visualtion journey if you feel comfortable and ready. Remember, we will never override your subconscious or take control. Through focusing more of the session on a discussion, we can work together to identify and understand patterns on a conscious level, which is extremely valuable in preparing our subconscious for repatterning. It also totally varies from session to session, sometimes we can focus more on the visualtion, others more so on discussion.

  • It's highly recommended to commit to daily affirmations following a BCT session. Through the clearing, once we've understood why, how & when a pattern was formed, we can then acknowledge to subconscious that learning has taken place and it's time to repattern this into positivity. Affirmations signal to subconscious that we're ready for change and allow new neural pathways to be formed. The affirmations help to cement what we've cleared in the session.

  • There are a few different ways of doing your affirmations, including reading them from your phone, listening to a recording of you reciting them or writing them out daily. There are many other tips that I can share with you but if you're really struggling, please let me know as this may be your subconscious signalling that we've got more to explore and clear on a specific issue. If you miss a day, don't worry, just start them again as the affirmation set will be complete once they've been signalled to subconscious for 60 consecutive days
